California Time Capsule/Chaparral to Ocean Science

Get the best of both worlds with this combination program! Students start off at the Mission
San Juan Capistrano and continue to the Lazy W Ranch where they step into the
daily lives of the Native Americans, Spanish, and Mexicans who have lived here in
California. On the second day, their cultural experiences are linked to the area's natural
history as students investigate three of California's unique ecosystems. A trip to the Ocean Institute concludes the
experience with a hike to the tidepools, a food web exploration, and an optional voyage on our research vessel.
